How to care for your beard naturally

A simple routine for soft, flake-free beards

A healthy beard starts with the skin underneath it. Most beard itch and flaking comes from dry skin, so the goal is to clean gently and keep that skin moisturized.

  1. Wash two or three times a week. Use a gentle bar like Goat Milk Soap or, for oily skin, Charcoal Facial Soap. Work the lather down to the skin and rinse well.
  2. Condition while it's damp. Rub a few drops of Facial Oil between your palms and massage it into your beard and the skin underneath.
  3. Comb and shape. Comb in the direction of growth to spread the oil and tame strays.
  4. Don't forget your hands. Work-worn hands do better with a Solid Lotion Bar.

Beard care FAQ

How often should I wash my beard?

Two or three times a week works for most beards. Washing every day can dry out the skin underneath and make itching worse.

How do I get rid of beard itch and flakes?

Itch and flakes usually come from dry skin under the beard. Wash with a gentle bar, then massage a few drops of oil into the skin while your beard is still damp.

Can I use facial oil on my beard?

Yes. A few drops of Facial Oil softens beard hair and moisturizes the skin underneath. Start small so it doesn't feel greasy.

Is goat milk soap good for beards?

Yes. Its creamy lather cleans beard hair and skin without leaving them feeling stripped, which helps prevent itch.
